Summer project

Here is my next quilt project. I have been inspired from the colorful crochet granny squares. It is an opportunity to try a 100% solid fabric quilt, something I wanted to try for a while, without having the design to do it. The final quilt will measure 40" x 40" and will make a nice wall hanging or throw quilt.
On the bottom right corner, you can see a simple version of the leaves, but I will sew the nicer version as drawn in the other corners of the draft. This quilt and its pattern will be for sale in my Etsy shop. I like adding white fabric in my quilts. That enhances the brightness of the other colors and adds freshness in the design.
And here is the fabric selection I have made for this quilt. As you can see, I love bright colors, and particularly these joyful candy tones.
I hope I will be able to post very soon some pictures of the blocks and the top assembled!

Why this blog

Hi there!
Thanks a lot for visiting my pages! I have decided to create this blog to share my passion with other quilt lovers, and to have a record of my creations.
I come from Switzerland and I have been living in Canada for 2 years. I am really happy to live on Vancouver Island, in a beautiful house surrounded by forest, with my husband and my young son. We have a cat and we hope we will have some hens and fresh eggs soon!
I hope you will enjoy my pages and please feel free to send all the comments you want!
